About Our Practice

Gary Blume, M.D.

Dr. Blume holds an M.D. with Distinction and a PhD in Biochemistry from Northwestern University and is a graduate of the Duke University Department of Family Practice residency program.  He is a current diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, and a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Washington State Medical Association.  He has been recognized by Seattle Magazine as one of the top family practice physicians in the greater Seattle area.  He has been in practice on the Eastside since 1988. He is married, with one daughter and enjoys travel and community activities.  He has a strong commitment to the philosophy of patient centered care, that there is nothing more powerful than teamwork between an informed patient and a physician with a commitment to excellence and humanism in medical care.  He practices the full range of family medicine including preventive health care, wellness medicine, women’s health care, pediatric care including newborn care, geriatric medicine, the diagnosis and management of complex illness, office surgery, and fracture care.  He has special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical illness, disabilities medicine and the development of office-based best practices in primary care.

Pam Bertagnoli, PA-C

Pam is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in family medicine.  She has been part of our practice since August 2010.  Pam trained at Arcadia University, having graduated from the Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Program with multiple honors and an emphasis in primary care, gastroenterology, dermatology, and pediatrics.  Pam also has additional expertise in hospice, health education, and grief counselling.  Pam grew up in Northern Wisconsin, went to undergraduate school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she graduated with distinction, and then attended Arcadia University in the Philadelphia area.  She loves hiking, skiing, and everything outdoors.  As a Certified Physician Assistant she has special qualification to assess and treat the entire range of health maintenance and acute and chronic illnesses seen in family medicine. She has developed a devoted following of patients in our clinic.
